South Korean all-male vocal band Astro are back at No. 1 on the Gaon Albums chart this week with their latest full-length All Yours.
In addition to instantly becoming their fourth No. 1 on the Gaon Albums chart, All Yours is also the band’s twelfth title to place inside the top 10, including EPs and single albums. Somewhat frustratingly, five of those sets have peaked in the runner-up space, so their total count of leaders was almost much higher.
Astro has now sent both of their full-length efforts to No. 1 on the Gaon Albums chart as well as a pair of EPs. The South Korean boy band first hit the top spot in 2017 with their Dream Part.01 EP. That title helped take them from rising talents to true stars, and there’s been no looking back since then.
The group scored their first chart-topping full-length in 2019 with their debut album All Light. Last year, they returned to the summit with the Gateway EP.
All 10 songs featured on the All Yours tracklist appear on the Gaon Download chart this frame, giving them control over more than their fair share of the tally. Lead single “One” almost gave the band a No. 1 on the sales-only list, but it’s denied the highest rung. Instead, it settles for No. 2, behind only Lim Young-woong’s “My Love Like the Starlight,” which is a non-mover atop the ranking.
The Gaon Albums chart ranks the bestselling full-lengths, EPs and single albums in South Korea every week, looking at how many copies were shipped to stores.
All Yours debuts in first place, beating new titles from the likes of Kang Seung-yoon (Page), Wendy (Like Water) and OnlyOneOf (Instinct Part. 1), all of whom see their latest collections open inside the upper half of the top 10 on this week’s Gaon Albums chart.
